The most reliable and popular peak, Halfway Kuta, lies about 50 meters north of Poppies Lane 2. This spot is renowned as the prime peak at Kuta Beach, primarily offering right-hand waves that break longer compared to other parts of the beach. This unique formation is a result of sand accumulation and the creation of a small channel. On bigger swells and during low tides, Halfway Kuta transforms into an exciting barrel wave for the more experienced surfers.

Generally, the waves are softer, ranging from waist to knee-high runners, making Kuta Beach an excellent learning ground for those new to surfing. For the other peaks along the beach, higher tides are the optimal time to surf, allowing for more manageable, faster sections and the opportunity to link multiple maneuvers before the wave closes out.
